Meet Emerald

Emerald is the heart behind Happy Paws Grooming. Her love for dogs started early—she’s been working with them since high school, over 10 years ago. Throughout the years, she’s gained hands-on experience in nearly every corner of pet care, including doggy daycares, animal hospitals, grooming salons, and dog sitting. This well-rounded background gives her a unique perspective on dog behavior, health, and comfort.

What sets Emerald apart is more than just her skill—it’s her deep compassion. She treats every dog like her own and is known for noticing the little things others might miss. In one case, she even saved a dog’s life by spotting a suspicious spot during a routine bath, which turned out to be cancerous. That kind of care and attentiveness is what makes her someone pet parents trust without hesitation.

Meeko

Chief Barketing Officer

Every great business needs a mascot, and Meeko takes his role very seriously—well, between naps and snack breaks. As our Chief Barketing Officer, Meeko keeps morale high, greets visitors with tail wags, and gives every grooming station the sniff of approval. He’s the real boss around here (just don’t tell Emerald).

Chris

Co-Owner & Behind-the-Scenes Guy

Chris handles all the things that keep Happy Paws running smoothly behind the scenes—from marketing and booking systems to making sure Meeko doesn’t chew through another charging cable. He may not be grooming pups, but he’s passionate about helping the business grow and making sure every client has a great experience from first click to final tail wag.

About us

What Makes us Different? 🐶

At Happy Paws Grooming, we believe every dog deserves more than a routine grooming appointment—they deserve a calm, personalized, and wellness-focused experience. Our priority is simple: your dog’s comfort, safety, and happiness. We don’t just make dogs look good; we make sure they feel good throughout the entire process. From coat and skin health to stress levels and emotional comfort, we pay attention to every detail.

Our salon is built around true 1-on-1 grooming. No rushed appointments. No chaotic, noisy environment. No kennels. Every pup receives dedicated attention from start to finish, allowing us to work at their pace and customize each service based on their personality, behavior, sensitivities, and grooming history. We use tools and techniques that promote calmness—such as Happy Hoodies during drying and gentle handling methods that keep dogs relaxed and secure.

With experience in grooming salons, veterinary settings, daycares, and high-volume pet care environments, we’ve learned what truly matters: patience, compassion, and consistent communication. We take the time to build trust with every dog in our care and stay attentive to changes in their coat, skin, and behavior so we can catch concerns early and keep you informed.

And because grooming should be fun—not just functional—we also offer customized seasonal photos during every major holiday and season. Whether it’s fall, Halloween, spring, Valentine’s Day, or the holidays, your pup gets an adorable themed photo to celebrate the moment.

Whether we’re calming a nervous dog, identifying a potential health issue, or giving extra love to help a pup feel safe, we go the extra mile with every appointment. To us, grooming isn’t just a service—it’s a relationship, a responsibility, and a bond we deeply value.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our grooming services, safety protocols, and how we ensure a stress-free experience for your furry friends.
  • What makes Happy Paws Grooming different?

We focus on your dog’s health, comfort, and overall well-being—not just their appearance. Our gentle approach and clean, welcoming salon create a low-stress environment where pups feel safe and cared for.

  • Do you groom all breeds and sizes?

Yes! From tiny toy breeds to large dogs like Great Danes, we love and welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes. Each appointment is tailored to your pet’s needs.

  • How often should I schedule grooming for my dog?

It depends on the breed and coat type, but most dogs benefit from professional grooming every 4–8 weeks. Regular visits help keep their coat healthy, nails trimmed, and skin clean.

  • What’s included in a full-service groom?

Our full-service grooming includes a bath (shampoo + conditioner), blow dry/blowout, haircut, nail trim or grind, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing.

  • Can I stay with my dog during grooming?

There are exceptions to everything however we do not allow dog owners to be present during their grooming appointment. The reason is because dogs tend to become more agressive, anxious etc making it even harder for them.
